The Convention on the Rights of the Child

UNICEF's mission is to advocate for the protection of children’s rights, to help meet their basic needs and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential. UNICEF is guided in doing this by the provisions and principles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. You can find out more about YOUR rights under The Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), and also start to explore how to exercise your rights here in Canada and work to protect those of other young people around the world.

November 20 is also National Child Day, and a great day to plan to do something in your school to raise awareness about children’s rights.
